Summary

A low mound to the north of St Catherine's Farm, Cerne Abbas, is visible as an earthwork on Environment Agency lidar imagery. The feature is located a short distance southeast of a rough line of four possible Bronze Age barrows (MDOs 724-727) and is considered to also be a possible barrow. It was digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle Valleys AIM project.

Full Description

A low mound to the north of St Catherine's Farm, Cerne Abbas, is visible as an earthwork on Environment Agency lidar imagery [1]. The feature is approximately 20m in diameter and is located a short distance southeast of a rough line of four possible Bronze Age barrows (MDOs 724-727). It is considered to also be a possible barrow and was digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle Valleys AIM project.
