Full Description
An irregular area of disturbed ground truncating parts of the earthworks of Cerne Abbey, Cerne Abbas, is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs and on Environment Agency lidar imagery [1, 2]. The feature is considered to possibly be a post medieval extractive pit but might include surviving elements of the abbey earthworks (MDO21729). It was digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle Valleys AIM project.
