A loose group of four post medieval chalk pits on Smacam Down, Cerne Abbas, are visible as earthworks on Environment Agency lidar imagery [1]. They are located within the extent of a later prehistoric settlement (MDO716) and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle Valleys AIM project.
