Full Description
Banked rectilinear features in fields to the northwest of Cerne Abbas are visible as earthworks on Environment Agency lidar imagery [1]. The features sub divide and align with the current field pattern and are considered to be field boundaries of potentially medieval date, possibly associated with an area of former medieval strip field. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM project.
