Full Description
Three Old Chalk Pits and a Saw Pit are marked on the OS 1st edition map within Dole's Hill Plantation, Piddlehinton <1>. They are visible as low earthworks on lidar imagery and were digitally recorded during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM Project <2>. Two other small extractive pits not marked on the OS mapping are also visible on the lidar.
