Summary

The site of a ring ditch 26m across is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs taken in 1971. It is in close proximity to the round barow described in MDO1947 and considered likely to be a plough-levelled Bronze Age round barrow. A small pit in the centre of the ring ditch may be the site of a robber pit. The site was digitally recorded during the Upper Cerne and Piddle Valleys AIM project.

Full Description

The site of a ring ditch 26m across is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs taken in 1971. It is in close proximity to the round barow described in MDO1947 and considered likely to be a plough-levelled Bronze Age round barrow. A small pit in the centre of the ring ditch may be the site of a robber pit. The site was digitally recorded during the Upper Cerne and Piddle Valleys AIM project. <1>
