The sites of two post medieval chalk pits are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery on Holcombe Bottom, Piddlehinton. One is marked as a copse named Holcombe Head Bottom on the OS 1st edition map. The two features were digitally recorded during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM Project [1-2].
