Summary

An archaeological evaluation in 2011 by Bournemouth Archaeology of a site proposed for housing revealed a large ditch running east-west across the site. No clear dating evidence was found, though the archaeologists on site considered that the ditch may be associated with large linear features on Wareham Common to the west which are of similar size and proportions and of late prehistoric date.
