Summary

The remains of a post medieval drainage system are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1947 and lidar imagery to the north of Chaston Farm, Buckland Newton. The system of perpendicular ditches covers an area of 4 hectares; it was digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project and has since been partially levelled.

The remains of a post medieval drainage system are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1947 and lidar imagery to the north of Chaston Farm, Buckland Newton (1-2). The system of perpendicular ditches covers an area of 4 hectares; it was digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project and has since been partially levelled.
