Summary

A series of banked linear features are visible as low earthworks on lidar imagery in parkland to the east of Mappowder Court. They are considered likely to be contemporary with the deserted medieval settlement of Mappowder (MDO4259) and are associated with ridge and furrow cultivation marks (MDO49249). The features were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project, they extend across an area of over 7 hectares.

A series of banked linear features are visible as low earthworks on lidar imagery in parkland to the east of Mappowder Court. They are considered likely to be contemporary with the deserted medieval settlement of Mappowder (MDO4259) and are associated with ridge and furrow cultivation marks (MDO49249).
