Summary

A series of conjoined banked enclosures are visible as low earthworks on lidar imagery to the west of Higher Thurnwood Farm, Mappowder. The features are of uncertain date, but potentially the site of a deserted settlement. They were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project and extend across an area of over 4.5 hectares.

A series of conjoined banked enclosures are visible as low earthworks on lidar imagery to the west of Higher Thurnwood Farm, Mappowder. The features are of uncertain date, but potentially the site of a deserted settlement.
