Summary

Fragments of a post medieval drainage system are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1947 to the southwest of Cothayes Farm, Hilton. The ditched features cover an area of over 6ha and were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project. The features have since been levelled.

Fragments of a post medieval drainage system are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1947 to the southwest of Cothayes Farm, Hilton. The ditched features cover an area of over 6ha and were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project. The features have since been levelled.(RAF 1947, EA 2023).
