They are considered likely to be post medieval extractive pits (possibly for chalk) and were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.

A group of hollows are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery scattered across several modern fields to the south of Long Close Farm, Milton Abbas. They are considered likely to be post medieval extractive pits (possibly for chalk) and were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
