Summary

Fragments of a banked field system of probable later prehistoric origin are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery to the east of Cuckoo Lane, Hilton. The features extend into Hilton Bottom and are part of a wider field system described in MDO3974. The system cover an area of over 36 hectares and was digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.

Fragments of a banked field system of probable later prehistoric origin are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery to the east of Cuckoo Lane, Hilton. The features extend into Hilton Bottom and are part of a wider field system described in MDO3974. The system cover an area of over 36 hectares and was digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
