‘Unless otherwise described, the houses are of one storey with attics and of rubble with thatched roofs. … West Knighton Road … (14) Cottages, three, of two storeys, form a range, the oldest cottage, built of cob in the late 18th century, being at the N. end. The adjacent pair, of stone, are slightly later and share one chimney-stack.’
