The remains of medieval earthworks associated with the settlement of Hilton are visible on aerial photographs taken in 1947 to the east, west and south of the modern village. of Hilton. Many of the features are still visible as very low earthworks on lidar imagery, they cover an area of over 4 ha and were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.

The remains of medieval earthworks associated with the settlement of Hilton are visible on aerial photographs taken in 1947 to the east, west and south of the modern village. of Hilton. Many of the features are still visible as very low earthworks on lidar imagery, they cover an area of over 4 ha and were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
