Full Description
A little N of the church is a deserted chapel, converted into a poor house. This seems to be ST LAURENCES chapel. Near it is supposed to have been the chapel yard, a place where many human bones have been dug up. In the garden of this poor house are the remains of an ancient cross. In 12 ELIZ. the tithes of the chapel were granted inter alia to Humphry MICHEL. <1>
This applies to the site village. No information is obtainable as to the date of erection of the chapel. <2>
The site of this chapel is now a small garden. No remains are visible built into the garden walls, and no cross is to be seen. <4>
