Monument record MDO6212 - Ditch, land off Edmondsham Road, Verwood

Please read our .

Summary

Evaluation of a proposed development site in 1998 revealed an undated feature which was interpreted as a possible ditch terminal. The filling of this feature contained a single worked flint blade and small quantities of burnt sandstone. The excavators felt that this represented small-scale activity, possibly in the prehistoric period, and did not indicate extensive settlement.
