Summary

A bowl barrow reported in 1975 as being around 90 feet in diameter with a mound about 7 feet high. The barrow is visible on 1940s aerial photographs and on current Lidar imagery and was digitally plotted from these sources by the Dorset Stour NMP project.

Full Description

Bowl barrow, 30 paces in diameter, 7 feet high. Slight ditch. (5)

A heather-covered bowl barrow, 25.0m. in diameter and 2.0m. high. There are unsurveyable traces of a surrounding ditch. (6)

SZ 08609883. Ralph's Barrow. A bowl barrow, 90 feet in diameter and 7 feet high. (7-8)

The barrow is visible on 1940s aerial photographs and on current Lidar imagery and was digitally plotted from these sources by the Dorset Stour NMP project (1-3, 10).

The barrow is visible as an elliptical mound 23m long by 21m wide. The outer ditch is visible on current Lidar imagery and is about 2.3m wide (10).
