Summary

A Bronze Age bowl barrow. In 1975 this monument was reported as being around 60 feet in diameter, the mound levelled by ploughing. Aerial photographs taken in 2005 show a ring ditch approximately 29 metres in diameter. The site of the round barrow is visible as a cropmark ring ditch with inner mound on aerial photographs . It lies to the SW of the southern henge of Knowlton Circles and is one of the extensive Knowlton Circles Barrow Group. The outer ring ditch is 21m across, it was digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.

Full Description

The site of a Bronze Age round barrow is visible as a cropmark ring ditch with inner mound on aerial photographs (3-4). It lies to the SW of the southern henge of Knowlton Circles and is one of the extensive Knowlton Circles Barrow Group. The outer ring ditch is 21m across, it was digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.
