Full Description

A boundary marker dated to the mid to late 19th century. A stone c. 300mm high, a square to worn pyramidal top, partly concealed by the rising road level. Immediately adjoins the Castle boundary wall. On its S face is inscribed 'WD Boundary', on its E and W faces it has WD arrow. It is one of a number of similar stones on the Island, set up by the military authorities, and it may carry an identifying number on its lower part.
