A ninth-century small gold mount from Bowleaze Cove, Weymouth. Found in March 1990 on the beach (1) Illustrated and described in British Museum publication to accompany exhibition entitled 'The Making of England'. (2)

‘A NINTH-CENTURY MOUNT FROM BOWLEAZE COVE, WEYMOUTH. This small gold mount was found in March 1990 on the beach at Bowleaze Cove. It is the same type of object as the Minster Lovell and Alfred Jewels. Exhibited in the exhibition ‘The Making of England’ at the British Museum (November 1991 to March 1992) the object is illustrated and described in L. Webster and J. Backhouse (ed), The Making of England Anglo-Saxon Art and Culture AD 600-900, British Museum Press (1991), no. 258, 281-2).’
