Full Description
Watching briefs undertaken by Poole Museum Service during works at the King's Head, High Street, Poole in 1993 and 1994 revealed traces of wall footings, which on cartographic evidence probably belong to a building to the rear of the King's Arms frontage that was constructed some time between 1751 and 1774. The footings comprise large blocks of limestone, chalk and heathstone with some indication of clay bonding. There was some indication of a brick wall above one of the footings. No floor surfaces were noted. (1) (2) (3)
