Full Description
'A' Diameter 20.0 metres; height 1.7 metres. Flat topped with no sign of berm or ditch. Now an ornamented mound in the garden with brick steps up the S side, and planted with shrubs. A stone wall 0.7 metres high surrounds the foot of the mound. Probably a bowl barrow. <2>
The barrow forms an outlier of the Worgret Heath round barrow cemetery. <5>
A circular mound, approximately 18m in diameter, is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of Worgret Heath, Arne <6>. It is considered likely to be the remains of the round barrow described above. It is one of a group of dispersed barrows which make up the Worgret Heath group. This feature was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
