Summary

An extensive series of bank and ditched field boundaries are visible as cropmarks and low earthworks on aerial photographs and lidar imagery to the northwest of Hazel Copse. They cover an area of over 50 hectares and are of uncertain (prehistoric or medieval) origin. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM.

No trace of field system in grass field at one time under the plough. <2>

An extensive series of bank and ditched field boundaries are visible as cropmarks and low earthworks on aerial photographs and lidar imagery to the northwest of Hazel Copse <4-5>. They cover an area of over 50 hectares and are of uncertain (prehistoric or medieval) origin. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM.
