Full Description
Two bowl barrows with hollows in the centres:
'A' ST 65890027 Eight paces in diameter and 1 1/2ft in height. <1-3>
'A' ST 65880026 A grass-covered bowl barrow, 8.0m diameter and 0.7m in height, with no trace of a ditch. <2>
The area is now under pasture. The ditch of barrow 'B' has been destroyed and barrow 'C' has been erased by ploughing, otherwise measurements as in 1955. Published 1:2500 surveys of 'A' and 'B' revised. <5>
The feature is visible as an earthwork on Environment Agency lidar imagery and was digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle Valleys AIM project. <7>

'(34) SETTLEMENT and BARROW, on Dickley Hill over ¾ m. S.W. of the church. The settlement is defended on the E. side by a scarp, ditch and outer bank extending for over 200 yards and having an entrance towards the S. end. … About 150 yards to the E. of the entrance is a bowl barrow 23 ft. in diam. and 1½ ft. high.’
