The site of a bowl barrow, reported to have been destroyed. The barrow is visible as a low earthwork on aerial photographs of 1970.

Full Description

'B' - A bowl barrow - ploughed. <2>

'B'. Ploughed out. The traces of this barrow are unsurveyable, and are denoted by an almost imperceptible rise in a farm track which crosses the site, which is under grass. This bowl barrow should read 'site of'. No surface finds were made during field investigation. <3>

The Bronze Age barrow described is visible as a low earthwork on aerial photographs of 1970 but could not be seen on later photographs. The barrow is sub-circular and measures 11 m in diameter. <8> This feature was digitally plotted as part of the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
