Summary

A bowl barrow on a slight rise. In 1970 this monument was reported as 43 feet in diameter with a mound about 4 feet high, and surrounded by a tree enclosure.

Full Description

Bowl barrow at SY 90158257, just south of Pomphrey's Plantation. Diameter 43 feet, height 4 feet. It is tree-covered and is surrounded by a tree-clump enclosure. <2>

SY 901826. Round barrow in Pomphrey's Plantation. Scheduled. <3>

SY 90158255. A round barrow situated on a high point in woodland, it measures approximately 19.0m in diameter and about 1.2m high. A narrow earthen bank up to 0.5m high externally follows the circumference of the mound except on the north side where it links into an enclosure bank. Published 1:2500 survey revised. <5>
