‘STUDLAND VILLAGE: A circular sandstone cross base with a dia. Of 4’ 3” and with a central. Sunken square of sides 2’ 1” and 2’ deep; central to which is a circular socket hole 1’ in dia. And 1’ deep. The width of the base which tilts towards the E. and leaves the W. quadrant 4” above ground level is 1’ 7”. No severe signs of weathering, excellent preservation. 7/7/B.’
