Full Description
A small pit was discovered in Trench 3 of dimensions 0.95m by 0.5m and depth of 0.14m. Three pieces of worked flint were recovered from the filling of the pit, suggesting a prehistoric date. <1>

‘5.3 Worked flint. A total of 7 pieces of worked flint weighing 82 grams was recovered. All the flint is likely to derive from a local chalk source, and all are characteristic to a flake industry. There were three pieces recovered from Trench 3, pit F303. Two of these are broken flakes and one is a broken retouched flake, though not a diagnostic tool. It is probable that the material relates to a later prehistoric, probable Bronze Age industry. …’
