Full Description
A small bowl barrow. <2>
A mound covered with a dense growth of furze, causing measurements to be approximate. The diameter is approx: 9.0m., and its height 0.3m. There is no sign of a berm or a ditch, and no surface finds were made at the site. A bowl barrow. <3>
SY 83188203. Bowl (?) barrow, about 36ft. diameter and 1ft. high on almost level ground. <4>
SY 83133203. Bowl (?) barrow, ploughed almost flat; diameter 10.0m. approximately,height 0.2m. Resurveyed at 1:2500 on M.S.D. <5>
A bowl barrow recorded as being around 36 feet in diameter with a mound about one foot high. The mound is visible as a very slight rise on aerial photographs taken in 1946 <8>, it was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
