Full Description
In 1949 worked flints and Early Bronze Age sherds - one of which was rusticated - were found in the front garden of a dutch-roofed house called Cherry Orchard on the south side of the Corfe Castle - Swanage Road. Mr. Duncan who owns and occupies Cherry Orchard pointed out the spot where the pottery and flints were found and it was surveyed at SY 99018019. The spot forms a cutting in front of the house. There were no surface finds. <1>
