Summary

A Bronze Age urn was found in the cliff face 700 yards west of Double Dykes by Captain Cunnington in 1915. The urn was fragmentary and was of overhanging rim type. It was inverted over the cremation burial.

Full Description

Middle Bronze Age urn found 1915. Calkin Coll BM (SZ 15709089). <2>

The urn was found in the cliff face 700 yards west of Double Dykes by Capt Cunnington in 1915 and restored from fragments. It was of overhanging rim type, and was inverted over a cremation. <3>

Considerable erosion has taken place through the years and nothing of significance is now visible. <4>
