Mesolithic chert artefacts collected at the mouth of a small stream which runs into the Fleet. Cores, blades and scrapers presenting Mesolithic facies were among this series and were presented to Dorchester Museum. (2)

'THE MESOLITHIC AGE IN DORSET. WYKE REGIS (Site 36). This site has been known for many years. It was brought to the writer's notice by Mr. Hugh Shortt of Salisbury Museum who, long before the war, collected a series of chert artifacts at the mouth of a small stream which here runs into The Fleet. Cores blades and scrapers presenting a Mesolithic facies were among this series. These implements were presented to Dorchester Museum where other implements from the same site are stored.'
