Summary

A mound which has the appearance of a barrow, 1.5m high radius 7m. Current Lidar imagery suggests a mound radius 13m and with the suggestion of a surrounding ditch. It was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP.

Full Description

A mound which has the appearence of a Tumulus has been surveyed at SZ 12389939, on a field document. It is 1.5m high and 7m radius. <2>

The reported mound is in the area of dense conifers, part of an extensive forest. It is probably extant but a long serch proved unavailing. <3>

No trace, presumably destroyed during tree-planting. <4>

This barrow remains extant at the given NGR. The height has been reduced to approx 1.1m and the diameter spread to approx. 17m. The top is slightly hollowed. <5>

Current Lidar imagery <6> suggests a mound, radius 13m and with the suggestion of a surrounding ditch. It was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP.
