A group of circular earthworks of unknown date and function, may be possible bee gardens.

Full Description

Groups of small circular earthworks diameter 12 - 26, height 6 ins (about), with internal ditches. Generally found on sandy commons. Heywood Sumner thought they might be old bee gardens. (14 in this group). (See SZ 19 NW 10 where a similar earthwork was excavated, and showed bank with a small inner ditch and no dating material). <1>

Area covered by thick heather, bracken and war-time defences. None of the earthworks were located. <2>
