Listed Building record MDO8997 - Hambro Arms Inn, Milton Abbas

Public House of about 1780, enlarged to rear in the nineteenth century. Plastered cob walls a hipped thatched roof with one brick stack near right end. Main inn section has a panelled door, slightly recessed, with pilasters and flat moulded hood.

THE HAMBRO ARMS INN (80820191) includes an original two-storied front range of c.1780, with cob walls and thatched roofs. A parallel range was added at the rear, probably in the 19th century. A stable range to the N.E. is in line with the front range and is now joined to it under a continuous roof, but originally the two ranges were probably separate. A lead pump-head is dated 1835. <2-3>

A parallel range was added at the rear, probably in the 19th century. A stable range to the N.E. is in line with the front range and is now joined to it under a continuous roof, but originally the two ranges were probably separate. A lead pump-head is dated 1835.’
