'The following monuments, unless otherwise described, are of two storeys with walls of cob and rubble and thatched roofs and are of the 18th century. … (9) HOUSE (100 yds. S.E.), of one storey and attic with walls of cob faced with brick, is of the early 18th century (Plate 45); it has a central entrance between casement windows, and end chimneys. On plan there is a small central stairhall with a small room behind it, between the two heated rooms.'
