Round type 25 pillbox., built with corrugated iron shuttering. Intact but subsided. Chickerell Hive Point, near Old Coastguard Cottages, Fleet Lane. <1-3>

An intact but subsided Second World War Type 25 pillbox built with corrugated iron shuttering is visible on aerial photographs taken at Chickerell Hive Point, East Fleet in 1946 <4>. It is also visible on the most recent aerial photograph coverage available to the project <5-6>. This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
