`Portsmouth, 24th May...The FRIENDS ADVENTURE, of and for Arundel, from Plymouth, was fallen in with de-masted, during a heavy gale at S by E on Saturday, about 3 leagues west of Portland, by the INTEGRITY, Hove, from Exeter to London, which took out the crew, and landed them at Eastbourne on Sunday. `Weymouth, 25th May. At daylight this morning, the bottom of a vessel was discovered on the beach in West Bay, and parts of the wreck seen floating about. The stern board has been picked up - it is marked FRIENDS ADVENTURE of Arundel. (1) Date of Loss Qualifier: A
