Source (2) gives place of loss as Shambles Light Vessel 2m Bill of Portland and place of departure as River Plate.

Owner: A Roussos and Co.
Construction: P.deck 27ft.; b.deck 104ft.; f.castle 22ft.

Survey History (1):
25-JAN-1960 Dispersed. Cut down to 45 feet. Drift swept. Clear to 50-53 feet, foul at 54 feet in 50 30 12N, 02 20 36W. Wreckage covers area 550 x 200 feet, orientated 125/305 deg.

02-MAY-1955 Existence confirmed.

10-JUN-1968 Wreck not found. Charted position lies close to tip of narrow, well defined ridge of broken shell which now unites wreck position to Shambles bank. Wreck presumed to have broken up as nothing was found to project above seabed.

14-AUG-1970 It is not covered by sand/gravel but in process of being so. Echo sounder indicated wreck to stand 4 fathoms above seabed with least depth 12 fathoms.

13-SEP-1991 Least echo sounder depth 25.4 in general depth 29m. No scour. Orientated 084/264 deg. (1)
