A possible Second World War wreck site, the remains of a vessel, approximately 20 m by 4.75 m is visible in the intertidal mud of Holes Bay, to the south west of Stertes, on Aerial Photographs taken in 1947 (2). This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
