Listed Building record MWX2841 - Vearse Farm, Symondsbury

A farmhouse thought to have been built in the late 18th century. The building has walls of brick, some covered with render, and a slate-covered roof.

‘The following monuments, unless otherwise described, are of the 17th century and of two storeys. The walls are of local rubble and the roofs are thatched. Many of the buildings have exposed ceiling-beams and original fireplaces. … (24) Vearse Farm, house 1,150 yards N.W. of (25), was built c. 1800. Reset in the garden-wall is a carved stone with various geometrical patterns and the initials BS. M.O. BR. BM. BC., probably late 17th century.’
