Full Description

The Passage House, South Haven Point. In a survey of Studland in 1724, a house, garden and passage boat were recorded at South Haven Point. A building called 'The Passage House' is shown on the west shore of South Haven Point on Woodward's Map of 1775. Sheringham' survey of 1849 marks it as a ferry. It was possibly demolished by 1901, although the footings may survive amongst the sand dunes. (1) The house is marked on a chart of 1779. (2)
