Monument record MWX3462 - Quarry and terracing at Manor Farm, Wyke Regis, Weymouth

To the north of the farmhouse a series of post-medieval features were recorded, during evaluations there in 1989. None are thought to be earlier than the 17th century. These include a quarry and terracing into the natural slope to the north of the farmhouse.

To the north of the farmhouse a series of post-medieval features were recorded, during evaluations there in 1989. None are thought to be earlier than the 17th century. These include a quarry and terracing into the natural slope to the north of the farmhouse. These features seem to be associated with normal farm use and its outbuildings. The quarry may have supplied the stone for some of the low walls around the farm. The terracing has probably removed any earlier deposits that may have survived there. (1)
