Full Description

Cannon site located 80 M from beach, due south of road entrance. Cannon reported as being Dutch or French, late 17th century. (1) They were located during a shore dive in 1990 and the site comprises three iron cannon (respectively 4, 6 and 9 pounders) together with what are thought to be ballast stones. The cannon were recovered and are on view outside the harbour museum in West Bay. (2) No longer outside mseum, current location unknown (G Le Pard 2006)
