Full Description

An old quarry marked on the first edition of the OS map (1) Also marked on the second edition map (2). The quarry which lies to the south-west of Linton Hill is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs {3-4} and was digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project. It is one of a number of other smaller quarries that lie on the ridge-top to the south-west of Linton Hill.
