A pier is marked on the 1st edition Ordnance Survey map; also marked on the 2nd edition map (1-2)
A post medieval to early modern pier is visible as a structure on aerial photographs of 1951 extending to the north west into Poole Harbour, to the west of South Haven Point. The pier measures approximately 85 m in length. (3) This site was digitally plotted during the South west Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
