Full Description
A gravel pit shown on the Ordnance Survey map of 1900. <1>
The remains of the post medieval to early modern gravel pit described above are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of Worgret Heath, Arne (1-2). This feature was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project. It is not clearly visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial photographs available to the project, this area now being under dense scrub.
