Abstract/Summary
A watching brief was conducted in the vicinity of the oval earthworks (SAM Dorset no. 827). A shallow trench was excavated between SZ14279557 AND SZ14419545. This work was closely monitored for about 50m near the earthworks. No damage to archaeological material was observed.
The work was commissioned by West Hampshire Water Company and the archive is lodged with Poole Museum Service under the reference PMO 61.
